- For my part, I'm REALLY disappointed......in my innocence, I'd actually
- been hoping for a little increase :(
-
- This would be acceptable IF NewTek was to say that as soon as a suitable
- 040/060 compiler for the Amiga appears, 4.0 will be recompiled and made
- available at a very reasonable cost.
-
- I bought 3.5SA about this time last year on the promise of the easy
- upgrade to 4.0 which was due in (you guessed it) 4-6 weeks. Like almost
- everyone else, I have waited patiently, without complaining. Quite
- frankly, if this customer-antagonistic approach continues, I'm not
- switching platforms, I'm switching companies - Cinema4D is coming along
- nicely, and is easier, faster, and half the price of LW....at this speed,
- even Real3D looks good (I'd have bought it in the first place due to it's
- superior features and output, but it was so much...slower -now the field
- is level!). There is at least one other new Amiga entrant soon to appear
- as well.
-
- So, I just wanted to say, Lightwave isn't the only game in town, even on
- the Amiga. If NT can't produce something I've heard referred to as
- `customer satisfaction', I for one am not about to throw money at them
- for another version on a different platform.
